SCIF RENOVATION
Georgia Center for Language (GCL) Building 21720
- Fort Gordon, GA -
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As the design-bid-builder, IAP Design Build, LLC was originally contracted to renovate the Georgia Center for Language (GCL) Building 21720 to convert the space into new administrative areas, classrooms, open storage, SCIF area, and multipurpose/conference areas. New building systems would be replaced and the interior renovated into the aforementioned areas.
Once the project began, Mod 4 changed the design of the building to be an entire SCIF building, thereby eliminating windows and requiring additional security and on-site guards for the duration of the project. The exterior of the facility was completely removed and replaced with masonry to provide additional security and deter threats.
Due to the sensitive nature of SCIF projects, the photo associated with this project was taken prior to the start of the project. Some project details may also be omitted for this same reason.
